In short
Payments are final. A CatholicSex plan is a monthly or yearly subscription for access to the platform for a period, and access for the whole period starts when it is paid. You can cancel renewal at any time in Billing, and cancelling stops every later renewal. The only cases we refund are listed in section 3.
1. All payments are final
You pay for access for a period, not for how much you use it. Cancelling is not a refund request. After you cancel you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing is pro rated. The plan, price and billing period are shown at checkout and again in your confirmation email and in Billing before you pay.
2. What is never refunded
- Changing your mind or no longer needing the plan.
- Not using lessons, the assistant, Live Q&A or consultations during a paid period.
- A renewal charged because renewal was not cancelled before the renewal date shown in Billing.
- Buying the wrong plan or billing period.
- Unused part of a period after cancelling or after deleting your account.
- Someone else using your login.
- Disagreement with the content of an answer, a lesson or a consultation.
3. The only exceptions
- Double charge. You were billed twice for the same period through a fault in our billing.
- Proved unauthorised charge. Your card was used without your authority, you report it within 14 days, and the records held by us and by our payment provider support the claim.
- Total failure of service. A confirmed fault on our side made the service unusable for a continuous period, you reported it at the time, and we could not resolve it.
- Consumer law. Where the law of your country gives you a right to a refund that cannot be excluded by contract, that right is not affected by this policy.
A refund is limited to the amount paid for the affected period and goes back to the original payment method.
4. How to ask
Write to [email protected] from the email address of your account within 14 days of the charge, say which exception applies and include the date and amount. Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback raised without contacting us first is a breach of the Terms of Service and can lead to closure of the account.
5. Renewals and failed payments
Your plan renews automatically until you cancel it. If a renewal payment is declined by your card issuer, our payment provider may retry the charge over the following days. Those retries belong to a period that has already started and are not a second charge. Cancelling stops later renewals but does not cancel an amount already due for the current period.
6. What we keep on record
For each subscription we keep the date of purchase, the plan and price shown at checkout, your acceptance of the terms, the confirmation email, renewal notices and a log of activity on the account. Our payment provider keeps its own record of each transaction, including the result of any bank authentication. A claim is assessed against these records.
